How Meusic handles your personal data, in plain language.

What data we keep
Name, e-mail, gender, date of birth, photo and what you fill in on your profile (instruments, styles, city). Also what you publish, your connections and messages, and technical records needed for security.
What we use it for
To make the platform work, show your profile the way you chose, apply the protection rules for your age, send the notices you asked for and keep things safe.
Date of birth
We use it only to work out your age group and apply the protection rules. It is never shown to other people.
Location
We keep only the city and, if you want, an approximate point (about 1 km away from the place you marked). Never the exact address. You choose who sees it. Minors' location is always the city only and is never shown to adults.
Minors' data
Minors get the most protective settings by default. We do not do targeted advertising or profiling with minors' data. Guardians can follow, pause or delete the accounts of the minors linked to them.
Who we share it with
With services that help Meusic work (hosting, database, e-mail sending, maps), only what is needed. We do not sell personal data.
Your rights
You can see and correct your data, download a copy, delete your account and talk to the privacy team through the contact e-mail shown on the site.
How long we keep it
While your account exists. Some security and moderation records may be kept longer when the law requires it.
